J'ai solutionné partiellement mon problème! En effet, je me suis aperçu que Windows présente (aléatoirement semble-t-il?) la fenêtre de log-on et/ou de changement de mot de passe AVEC ou SANS l'icône de langue "FR" dans le coin gauche de la fenêtre. Quand l'affichage inclut "FR", le clavier se comporte comme un clavier Français et quand l'affichage est sans "FR", le clavier se comporte comme un clavier Suisse-Français. Je peux donc adapter la frappe de mon mot de passe en fonction de la langue "choisie" par Windows. NB: A aucun autre moment dans l'utilisation de mon PC, cette "bascule" entre les deux types de clavier n'intervient. Seulement donc dans la fenêtreu de log-on et/ou de changement de mot de passe. Je considère le post comme résolu. PS: Toutefois, si un lecteur a une idée pour éliminer cette bascule intempestive entre clavier FR et clavier Suisse-FR, son aide sera la bienvenue.

J'ai trouvé la cause de mon problème sans toutefois pouvoir le résoudre! J'ai un clavier suisse-français. Au log-on (version "classique" windows), je rentre mon mot de passe dans le champ respectif et le logon se poursuit normalement. Mais, si je veux changer de mot de passe, soit en utilisant l'écran qui suit la commande Alt+Ctrl+Suppr, soit en utilisant l'interface du panneau de config., Windows interprète mon ancien et mon nouveau mot de passe comme si mon clavier était français-français !!! (il y a quelques différences au niveau de certaines lettres et des chiffres et signes spéciaux). J'ai donc pu changer mon mot de passe en "traduisant" celui qui marche tous les jours sur clavier-suisse-français en un mot de passe similaire mais sur clavier français-français. Mon nouveau problème est donc de faire fonctionner les fenêtres de changement de mot de passe avec le clavier suisse-français. Merci d'avance pour votre aide.

Merci pour ton post. Je scanne avec une imprimante multifonctions sans fax intégré. Il y a une fonctionnalité fax dans XP mais elle suppose l'utilisation du modem 56k, et donc d'une connexion filaire entre le PC (où se trouve le modem intégré) et la prise murale de téléphone/fax. C'est précisément ce que je veux éviter, car je me connecte à l'internet-ADSL uniquement en wifi. D'où le besoin d'un soft ou service fax via internet, c.-à-d. sans passer par une connexion filaire. J'ai parcouru le lien suggéré, procédé à quelques tests, et en ai conclu, pour l'instant, que la satisfaction de mon besoin d'envoi/réception de faxes gratuitement passe par l'utilisation de monfax.com à la réception et de freefax.fr à l'envoi. Pas hyperpratique mais mieux que des câbles sur le bureau! NB: Mes FAI sont orange (en France) et swisscom (en Suisse), qui n'offrent pas, à ma connaissance, de services d'envoi/réception de faxes gratuits et sans pub. PS: A ce stade, je considère le post comme résolu. Comment fait-on pour l'indiquer sur ce forum???

Bonjour, Depuis quelques temps, je ne peux plus changer mon mot de passe d'utilisateur "abc" (avec droits d'administrateur) en utilisant l'interface classique Windows (Alt+Ctrl+Suppr --> Modifier le mot de passe...) car quand je rentre mon ancien mot de passe (qui est reconnu chaque jour au moment du logon!) , Windows ne le reconnaît pas! Ensuite, je me retrouve bloqué avec la fenêtre du changement de mot de passe et je n'ai plus qu'à forcer le power off du pc. J'ai redémarré en mode sans échec et essayé de changer mon mot de passe en utilisant le compte "administrateur" dont je connais le mot de passe et qui, lui, est reconnu par Windows, mais le nouveau mot de passe attribué é l'utilisateur "abc" n'est toujours pas reconnu par Windows lors du prochain logon.
