Hum... Ca sent la carte réseau ISA à plein nez, et le conflit PCI / ISA...

Est-ce que tu as installé mii-tool ?

Que dit "cat /proc/interrupts" ?

Est-ce que dans ton BIOS, tu as un réglage qui s'appelle "PCI Latency" ? Quelle est la valeur associée ? Est-ce que ton problème s'arrange si tu augmentes cette valeur ?

Est-ce que dans ton BIOS, tu as un réglage qui s'appelle "Passive Release" ? Est-ce que tu peux voir si ton problème disparaît lorsque tu le mets sur "Enable" ?

Est-ce que tu as tenté de changer ta carte réseau de port ISA ?

Bonsoir,

 

- pour cat /proc/interrupts désolé j' ai mangé la manip :P

- dans mon BIOS je n' ai pas les valeurs indiquées

- ma carte était sur un port ISA, je l' ai changé mais aucun résultat

 

Par contre j' ai mii-tool d' installé, j' ai suivi la procédure et je n' ai apparement plus le message d' erreur dans le fichier kernel. :P

 

J' attends un peu avant de mettre resolu. :P

 

Une dernière manip pour s' en assurer?

La procédure ? Pour forcer le mode de la carte ?

En tout cas, tant mieux si c'est juste ça.

Pour que cela soit refait à chaque reboot, il faudra peut-être ajouter la commande dans ton fichier rc.local

Oui la procédure pour forcer la carte. Dans le fichier kernel je n' ai plus la ligne "eth0: Bus master arbitration failure, status 8cf3" qui s' affichait continuellement et pareil avec la commande dmesg.

 

Par contre il est inutile que je rajoute la ligne de commande dans le fichier rc.local : la detection est définitive.

Ce que je ne comprends pas. Je lis au moment du boot eth0 machin bidule comme quoi c' est pas reconnue, et si je tape :

Quels sont les messages exacts qui apparaissent dans le log de démarrage ? (fouille /var/log/messages et /var/log/syslog)

C'est anormal que ça te dise que ce n'est pas reconnu et que ça te crée quand même une interface réseau, que ça te la configure en ipv4 et ipv6 et tout le toutim !

Quand je parle de eth0, si je me trompe pas il devrait afficher eth1 (non?).

Aucun souci dans ton log à part peut-être les lignes "**** SET: Misaligned resource pointer: d4b3adc2 Type 07 Len 0" et celles qui se rapportent à l'IRQ 11 (apparemment il y a recours à un réglage automatique pour parvenir à configurer proprement la carte, et le noyau règle tout seul la latence PCI à 64 - donc pas besoin de piocher dans le BIOS pour y parvenir -)

Il est parfaitement normal que la première interface ethernet de ta machine soit désignée par "eth0"...
