Je pense que ton interprétation est bonne. Mais as-tu vérifié que les modifications que tu crois avoir apportées à la feuille de style ont vraiment été prises en compte ? C'est-à-dire que tu peux les constater par toi-même en "relisant" la feuille de style après modification et réinsertion sur le site ? Bien sûr, il est probablement préférable de modifier directement la feuille de style, car la modification s'appliquera à toutes les pages qui font appel à elle.

Je te confirme que la taille de police est bien régie par l'attribut font-size. Par ailleurs, si tu te contentes de changer le chiffre (par exemple en remplaçant 14 par 12) dans le font-size de la classe h3, tu ne commettras pas d'erreur de syntaxe. Mais pour revenir à la première de mes deux questions, refais la manipulation que tu expliques dans ton message #3 ci-dessus (« Sur le site, en surlignant le texte que je voudrais changer, je lis en cliquant droit et en demandant le code source : "h3" et ensuite l'alignement etc... »), pour vérifier que tes changements ont bien été pris en compte, si non, c'est que tu n'as pas réinstallé la feuille de style au bon endroit, si oui, c'est que tu n'as pas modifié la classe qu'il fallait, c'est-à-dire que le texte dont tu voulais changer l'apparence n'est pas régi par la classe h3, et qu'il va te falloir tâtonner à nouveau pour trouver de quelle classe il s'agit… Il y aurait une autre solution, qui consisterait à nous fournir l'intégralité du code de ta page HTML, en nous expliquant précisément quel est l'élément de cette page dont tu veux modifier la présentation.
